Mackenzie Frontier
Mackenzie Frontier

The first of its kind in northern Alberta, this new facility, located within the boundaries of the Machesis Lake Campground, has access to miles of cut-lines and old wagon trails winding through the sand hills. Beautiful forests, peaceful small lakes, breathtaking views of the Peace River allow wildlife to be enjoyed in its natural habitat. Sandy trails are excellent footing for horses; shoeing your horse is unnecessary. The camp has 8 sites, pens, hitching posts, manure bins, fire pits, and 6 picnic tables.

Note that the Equestrian Camp is located within the Machesis Lake Campground.
